The hospital diary was written by the nursing staff while they were caring for me during my hospitalization.<\/p>\n\n

For most of this period I was not conscious as I was intubated and sedated.The first page of the diary contains a brief introduction with the “instructions for use” described by the healthcare facility where I was hospitalized (Cardiocentro<\/a>), which in my opinion is important for interpreting and understanding the meaning of the diary.In the following pages I report exactly what was written in the diary by the nurses who cared for me during this period.<\/p>\n\n

My family members did not contribute to writing the diary as visits were not possible due to COVID-19 restrictions that prevented relatives from visiting.<\/p>\n\n

Note:<\/strong> The diary is handwritten; I transcribed it on the computer, but in some cases the handwriting was not very clear, so I hope I have faithfully reproduced what was described by my caregivers.<\/p>\n\n
