{"id":9358,"date":"2023-10-24T16:02:22","date_gmt":"2023-10-24T14:02:22","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/diario.m-achermann.com\/friday-february-26-2021-140-pm\/"},"modified":"2026-04-02T10:35:14","modified_gmt":"2026-04-02T08:35:14","slug":"friday-february-26-2021-140-pm","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/diario.m-achermann.com\/en\/the-hospital-diary\/friday-february-26-2021-140-pm\/","title":{"rendered":"Friday, February 26, 2021, 1:40 PM"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Good morning Mr. Achermann,<br\/>This is Maura again.<\/p>\n\n<p>This morning, after your personal care, I positioned you on your left side, facing the light coming through the window (today is a beautiful sunny day and it almost feels like spring).<\/p>\n\n<p>We paused one sedative to see if you wake up and we can make contact with you; at the moment you open your eyes when called. <br\/>You are unable to move, as staying in bed for so long has inevitably weakened you. <br\/>I explained to you that you are still in intensive care and that everything is fine; that you must be patient to heal and regain your strength. <\/p>\n\n<p>Later (I am resuming writing now) we placed you in the prone position again, after resuming sedation. <br\/>We took all the necessary time for these maneuvers to perform them safely, since you are on the ventilator through the tracheostomy, and to position you as comfortably as possible.
