I saw your wife today!I contacted her via video call and with the tablet in hand I approached your bed. You were still sleeping at that moment, but when your wife called you, your eyelids moved… I am sure you heard her! She will come to visit you tomorrow.<\/p>\n\n

Afterwards, I reduced the sedative medications and, when called, you opened your eyes and showed me your tongue (as I asked you to do).We will often do this thing of bringing you out of your drug-induced sleep.We call this a “neurological window.”Unfortunately, you were only able to show me your tongue… you do not have the strength to squeeze your hand or lift your foot.The many days of immobilization unfortunately have these effects…<\/p>\n\n

You are no longer in isolation today and we have moved you to a different room; I must warn you, the previous one was certainly quieter!<\/p>\n\n

This morning I washed you and changed your dressings with Mimmo’s help.Then bleeding started from the tracheostomy, which we are monitoring.You were certainly bothered when I had to remove the mucus from the trachea. I am sorry, but it is a necessary procedure to prevent secretions from accumulating.<\/p>\n\n

I learned that you also have a little dog: he was jumping around happily during the video call.<\/p>\n\n
