Some people tell me:
“You were lucky, you’re still here!”
Yes, but at what cost? …
Good morning everyone,
After much deliberation, I have decided to activate the blog even though the site is not yet complete.
With this blog, I want to connect people who have experienced stays in intensive care units and allow them to comment and share their experiences with others who have found themselves in similar conditions to mine.
In the meantime, I will work to complete the pages that are not yet finished.
To leave your testimony, you must first register on the site (link Registration at the top right) so you can log in and leave your comments, requests, and/or testimonies.
I hope this blog can help former intensive care patients overcome the physical and psychological difficulties that arise after discharge.
That’s all for now, see you soon.
Mirko

Sharing experiences among former patients helps those who are facing hospitalization and post-intensive care in preventing PICS. It also allows intensive care nurses to gain greater awareness of the impact of their work.

PRIMA ORA: PRESENTATION “IN THE DARKNESS OF COMA, A DIARY FOR YOU”
Sunday, March 9, 2025 (Sunday of San Provino in Agno)
Life changes, and with it our habits and certainties. I no longer have a business, and I must admit that it is one of the things I miss most: work, a goal to achieve every day. For some, it may seem like a small thing, but when it is taken away from you, it leaves a void that is difficult to fill.
In recent months, or perhaps I should say years, I have found, among my parents’ boxes, many handwritten recipes. Small family treasures that came back into my hands at a time when life put me to the test.
In the meantime, I also had to face the loss of my dear Teresa (Terry): more than a mother-in-law, she was always a second mother to me.
I asked myself: what can I do with all this love and these memories?
And so, thanks to my training and experience, I decided to create an App.
Here it is, a small corner of heart and tradition, ready to be shared with you. ❤️
Every bit of help, small or large, is essential!
Help me keep this blog alive and help people with similar experiences know they are not alone!
