Good morning Mr. Mirko,
my name is Anneke, I am the night nurse and this is the first time I am taking care of you and have met you. For now, you are not able to get to know us nurses; you need to rest in order to tolerate the various devices and treatments; for the time being, we can only suspend sedation for brief periods during the day.
With the intention of making it progressively longer, depending on how you are able to tolerate these “pauses.” In this way, little by little you will also get to know us, and it will certainly take time to be able to do without the various supports that are currently assisting your lungs.
In this regard, I hope that each day will go a little better and that soon we will have the opportunity to get to know each other better—respectively!
