Good morning, Mr. Achermann,
I am Maura; I will be looking after you again this morning.

You are awake today and I am finally able to communicate with you; you are nodding your head, attempting to speak (though your voice cannot come out until you are off the ventilator), and you smiled at me.

This morning I gave you your “beauty treatments” and after performing motor physiotherapy in bed, the physiotherapist and I helped you sit in an armchair.
We used a lift, as you are still weak, but this morning I saw you move your left hand.
I am pleased to see your progress.

In a little while, I will put you back to bed and let you rest; being seated in the armchair is a great effort for you at the moment.
